Kirsten

Founder & Lead Photographer

Kirsten founded KL Child Photography in 2016, bringing together two lifelong passions: working with children and photography.

​

With a graduate degree in education and a background as both a teacher and figure skating coach, she's spent her career helping children feel confident, supported, and celebrated. That same philosophy guides every school photo day—creating an experience that's enjoyable for children first, with beautiful portraits naturally following.

​

As the mom of two energetic children, Kirsten knows just how fleeting these preschool years are. Capturing genuine smiles, curious personalities, and joyful moments is what inspires her every day.

​

When she's away from the camera, you'll usually find her travelling (Japan is a favourite!), learning languages, enjoying good food, or out on the water. She and her family call Tsawwassen home.

Rae-Lynn

Photographer

Rae-Lynn lives in Ladner with her husband and their two children. Long before joining the KL Child Photography team, she was one of our school photography parents! Both of her children attended local childcare centres we photographed, so she knows firsthand what it's like to experience picture day as both a parent and now as a photographer.

​

Having spent time living in Belize, Rae-Lynn brings a calm, easygoing nature to every school she visits. She genuinely loves working with young children and has a wonderful ability to connect with them, helping even hesitant little ones feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her warm personality and gentle encouragement create the authentic smiles and joyful expressions that are at the heart of every KL Child Photography picture day.

Dani

Photographer

Dani has spent more than 17 years photographing children and families, and her warmth and sense of humour make her a natural with preschoolers.

​

Alongside her work with KL Child Photography, she runs her own portrait photography business specializing in newborns, children, and families. As a proud mom of two boys, she knows exactly how to connect with little ones and create genuine smiles.

​

When she's not behind the camera, Dani enjoys hiking with her dog, paddleboarding, and celebrating every new leaf on her ever-growing collection of houseplants. She lives in South Surrey with her family (and two very spoiled cats!).

Caitlyn

Photographer

Caitlyn is a graduate of Langara College's Professional Photography program and brings creativity, patience, and plenty of enthusiasm to every photo day.

​

She has spent the past several years photographing children in all kinds of adventures—from creating Christmas magic as one of Santa's photographers to cheering on young athletes from the sidelines and helping tiny newborns through their very first photo sessions. No matter the setting, her favourite part is always the same: capturing genuine smiles and the wonderfully unique personalities that make every child who they are.

​

When she's not behind the camera, you'll likely find Caitlyn exploring local hiking trails, tackling a New York Times crossword, or planning her next creative project.  

 

Whether she's making silly faces behind the camera or celebrating a child's biggest grin, Caitlyn loves turning everyday childhood moments into memories families will treasure.

Carol-Ann

With more than 20 years of photography experience, Carol-Ann has a wonderful ability to help children feel relaxed, confident, and happy in front of the camera.

​

As a mom of two boys, she understands the joy, energy, and unpredictability of childhood, and her calm, playful approach allows children's personalities to shine naturally.

​

When she's not photographing little smiles, Carol-Ann enjoys gardening, fishing for rainbow trout, listening to Taylor Swift, and getting lost in a good book. She lives in Cloverdale with her family.

Kim and Rob are the friendly voices behind our emails and phone calls, helping families with everything from ordering questions to photo day support.

​

As parents of three children themselves, they understand how meaningful school portraits become over the years. Their goal is simple: to make every family's experience as smooth, friendly, and stress-free as possible.

​

When they're not helping our clients, you'll find them enjoying family dinners, weekend hikes, and cheering on their children's many activities. They live in the Fraser Valley with their family.
