Newborn Workshop with Ana Brandt

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending an in-person and very much hands-on workshop with Ana Brandt. If you're not familiar with Ana, she's one of the leading newborn and maternity photographers in the United States. Ana has won a great deal of amazing awards based on her artwork, and her work is beyond stunning. It was truly an honour to join her for a day of newborn and maternity photography.

It was a long day full of two newborns, two pregnant mamas, and lots of laughter, smiles, and even some tears (from the babies, of course!). At the end of the day, the take-away from the sessions was amazing. Ana was very open and welcoming, with no question being too silly. And as a photographer and a person, I gain so much every time I work with those more experienced than myself.

Over the coming months, I'll be incorporating more of the skills I learned at Ana's workshop into my newborn and maternity photography. Coupled with the opening of my new studio space, I can't wait to welcome new babies and pregnant moms into the studio to capture some amazingly beautiful memories.
