Cake smashes for a princess...and a Little Prince

Over the past few weeks, I've had two cake smashes for some of my littlest friends. I got to know both of my clients during multiple sessions in 2017 - Ms. S at two Movies for Mommies sessions over the past year, and Mr. V at a family session and then again at a mini portrait session later in the year. I'm always in shock when I see my littlest ones at the cake smash. The first year can seem so long, and yet it really does pass in the blink of an eye.

Both of my birthday kids had a great time in session, playing with themed props and sets before we switched to the cake. We focused on purples for S and a Little Prince theme for V, and they had a great time digging in and exploring their new toddler-friendly worlds. Each session finished off with a washbasin scene, because who doesn't love a toddler in a washbasin?

Speaking of washbasins, I'm pleased to announce that I'm introducing a ridiculously adorable tub-themed set to my cake smashes and mini portrait sessions. My first tester for it was my very own 2-year-old...who liked it as long as Paw Patrol could join us on the iPhone for the session. I'll be sharing the pictures soon - please stay tuned.
