An adorable little newborn

Amidst the Christmas rush, I recently did a newborn session for a mom and dad welcoming their precious firstborn.

Little B was such an adorable little one, and her parents truly radiated love. Mom had called me the morning of the session a bit worried that B hadn't slept well during the night, but it very much worked to our favour in having a sleepy little one for our photo session.

We had great fun getting pictures of B with each of her parents and the whole family together, as well as some beautiful posed images of the newborn alone. On a personal note, I was really excited to have the opportunity to test out my new lens with this sweetie. It's a 100 MM macro lens - perfect for capturing all of the newborn details that we never want to forget.

Of all of the photos below, I have to admit that one of my favourites is the image of her foot. So perfect, so beautiful, sweet and soft. This was shot on my new lens with minimal editing to the image. I just love the perfect beauty of a newborn foot.

All in all, it was a lovely morning.
